Chaperones

 

We are committed to providing safe, respectful and dignified care.

If you are having an examination or procedure, you may request a trained chaperone to be present. A chaperone is a member of staff who is there to support you and ensure your comfort and privacy.

We will routinely offer a chaperone for intimate examinations. You may accept or decline this offer.

For children and young people under 18, a formal chaperone will be present during intimate examinations.

If you would like to request a chaperone, please inform reception when booking your appointment or speak to your clinician.
